The Shop Boyz are often classified as one-hit wonders due to the multi platinum status of their Grammy nominated debut single Party Like A Rockstar but the truth is that they were born on the underground and chose to return to it and go independent shortly after they released their album. That coupled with their self proclaimed trend setter mentality meant it was difficult to nail down a fan base due to their constantly changing sound.
