After a disastrous Environment Impact Assessment Draft 2020, the New Education Policy - that had been hanging in limbo for more than three decades - was approved by the Union Cabinet. The policy largely has been welcomed and called transformative - take for instance the doing away of rigid sylos between Science / Commerce / Arts and also a welcome focus on non academic learning - like vocational courses.

In the Episode of The DeshBhakt we take a look at the positives - and also some of the negatives that can be found in the fine print. Like the increasing centralization of education under ONE body now and the encouragement to privatization...ofcourse the most debated issue - will the medium of instruction from all schools move away from English or this will be a choice for educational institutions.
