We Wedged our narrowboat in a lock (HEED OUR SAFETY WARNING)

We manage to wedge our narrowboat- Lazy Days- in a lock. It could have been much worse and we know that. We get a little frazzled by it but have decided to share the mishap with you as a safety reminder. We used to always travel with fenders up- then over time- as some of you have commented- we started to travel with fenders down. This time it was scary and a real wake up call not to take warnings lightly.
It's not all harrowing in this episode as we also cruise majestically under the Falling Sands bridge at exactly the same time as a steam train passes overhead. Inspired by this Annamarie has painted the scene and we will release the image in a limited print run.
