Have you ever wondered how I actually decide on where I am going to make a film?

Why did I make so many films in the Wye Valley and Forest of Dean? What made me want to film in the Peak District? How did I end up making a film in Pembrokeshire? I’d never heard of Pendle Hill until recent years, so how did I decide to do some filming there? Why, in 2014, did I decide to completely change the format of my film-making?

Featuring clips from some of my films, most clips of which you will not have seen in the final edits, this behind-the-scenes documentary helps to answer some of those questions and gives some insight into how I have planned my film-making up to now. I also talk about how my plans have occasionally changed due to circumstances at the time, and how I’ve ended up filming in certain locations at the last minute.
