Google Pay: How to request money on Google Pay

This video explains how to request money on Google Pay. To begin, open the Google Pay app (or Google Wallet) on your device and log into your account. From the homepage, you can select a contact from your list or search for the person you want to request money from. Tap the “Request” button, then enter the exact amount you wish to request. Tap “Send Request” – the recipient will receive a notification.

If you want to request money using a QR code or UPI ID, tap your profile icon at the top right corner of the screen. Tap it again to display your personal QR code and UPI ID. Share this code or ID with the sender – they can scan the QR code or enter your UPI ID to send you money. You can also start a new payment request directly from the home screen by tapping “New Payment” and then selecting “Request Money.” Choose the recipient, enter the amount, and send the request. The host notes that Google Pay requests are typically instant, and the recipient must approve the payment for the money to transfer.
