During his Lok Sabha address Thursday, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi attacked the Modi government over the contentious farm laws and said it was aimed at ending mandis (government controlled markets) and the Essential Commodities Act that checks hoarding. The government will have to take back the farm laws, Gandhi added, saying the country's farmers, labourers and small shopkeepers will not back down.
