Finally back at these. I mean, I've at least got to finish the KH1 worlds right? Honestly, not a lot to say about Halloween Town's themes. They stay pretty consistent throughout the series. "This is Halloween" is the field theme. To begin with in KH1, an alternate version of this plays until the first cutscene with Jack, then it switches to the standard song. It's is a stripped down version with a shorter loop that doesn't sound as close to the original Danny Elfman. The main melody isn't there. I wonder if this was a prototype left in or something. It isn't on the sountrack, unlike the alternate Having a Wild Time.

The subsequent themes are as you'd expect, pretty similar to what we've heard for other songs. CoM's sounds like a retake of KH1's, Days is suitably DS-y, and finally gets to be standalone as this world isn't in Coded at all.

KH2 and Re:CoM adds some sleigh bells to "Spooks of Halloween Town", but this is dropped in 2.5 remix. Hard to say anything else, only minor differences between versions.

And then of course there's the new Christmas Town themes from KH2 Final Mix. I'm not as used to the original PS2 ones since they were Japan exclusive. I really like that 2.5 "Happy Holidays!". Adding these was definitely a good decision, kinda hard to imagine going back to unsuitable Halloween music for these rooms.

Side note, I'm thinking of doing some other music compilations alongside these evolutions. They'd be showcasing music related to a character i.e Ansem. These wouldn't be *all* variants of tracks like these videos, just suites for different characters including cutscene and battle music.
