01 1075 in Essen Hbf und Ersatzzug mit 110 469-4

Am 17.12.2022. fand eine Sonderfahrt für Touristen von Rotterdam nach Essen mit der Damplokomotive 01 1075 der Stoomstichting Nederland statt.
Ziel für die Reisende aus den Niederlanden war der Essener Weihnachtsmarkt. Nach Abstellung des Zuges im Eisenbahnmuseum Bochum-Dahlhausen fuhr die Dampflok zurück zum Essener Hbf wo eine Drehfahrt über das am Stellwerk liegende Gleisdreieck zur Vorbereitung der Rückreise ausgeführt wurde. Hinzu wurde nach der Drehfahrt die 110 469-4 gesichtet.
A steam special excursion from Rotterdam to Essen took place on Saturday 17th December 2022 headed by ex German express locomotive 01 1075. The aim of the exercise was to take Dutch visitors to the massive Christmas Market in the City of Essen in the Ruhr District of Germany. The train was stabled at Bochum-Dahlhausen Railway Museum for the day. The video shows the locomotive returning to Essen to negotiate a turning manoevre along the triangle behind the signal box in preparation for the return trip to Rotterdam in the evening hours. Shortly after the steam locomotive became out of sight a Dortmund bound train headed by a vintage electric locomotive was seen on departure.
