Watercolor Painting | Blueberries

Today I’ll be drawing a cluster of blueberries ripening on a branch. Can you see the colors of the blueberries changing from a greenish hue to a vivid blue? I’ll sketch the ripe berries in the front a bit bigger than the others to emphasize the most important part of the painting.

I’ll be painting the leaves and branches using a similar shade as the unripe berries. This will bring out the beautiful, ripe, blueberries. I’ll use some of the color from the ripe berries and add it to the leaves and shadows to harmonize the painting.
