Dating in Korea Story Time •• Friendzoning Myself and WORST Encounter
This is part 2 of my "Dating in Korea" story time, where I go over a few of the longer encounters I had with men while I was studying abroad in Seoul. Part 1 dealt with shorter stories and less complex characters lol.
This is the third and final part of my general Dating in Korea series. The first video was dedicated strictly to how to meet people, and the second was a tips and advice video.
These stories can be universally relevant, and are not intended to reflect negatively on Korea or Korean men at all. Weird things like these could absolutely happen to me in America. They could happen to someone in Belgium. They could happen to someone in India.
With that being said, dating in another culture is a lot of fun and a great way to learn more about the respective society, but do so in a healthy way. Be respectful and considerate. If you are meeting someone for the first time, do it in public. Be smart and safe. Put yourself first. If you are ever seriously uncomfortable or suspicious, it is okay to leave, regardless of seeming "rude" or not.
I fully acknowledge that going to Tae's apartment could have been a life-altering decision, in which I could have been seriously hurt. I am extremely lucky and blessed that our friendship was legitimate, and that he didn't have any ulterior motives. With that being said, I would never recommend it to anyone else. Not everyone is as lucky.
Please be less naive than I was.
