Welcome to the first episode of my new python for finance series! The series will cover Back-testing, Stock Screening, Reading and Writing to Excel, Portfolio Analysis, and more!. In this episode we get you started with downloading python and writing your first program. Then we will write a program which imports stock market data using pandas and calculates a simple moving average. We will build off of this program and learn how to backtest strategies.
