Sorry for the sketchy drawings and imperfect audio- sorry for the lack of animation too. But I had a very specific story to tell, one whose tone and message I didn't really wanna compromise by 'dolling things up' with special effects and perfect pictures. Anxiety, suicide, and abuse (mental or physical) are very serious issues, and I felt that this was the best way for me to get my point across.
I’m sorry if the wording or nature of the images offends some people, I know anytime people get artsy or poetic with their pain, others will label it as romanticizing or even fetishizing serious issues, but that was not at all my intention. I just wanted to let people know what I had been through and remind people that mental/emotional abuse is still real and shouldn't be taken lightly. No one should feel like they're being belittled constantly, no one should feel like they need to live in fear of the day that abuse DOES become physical, and no one should have to feel like they aren't allowed to talk about what they go through just because they don't have a bruise on their arm to show for it. I do consider myself lucky, but just because I wasn't beaten, doesn't mean I didn't get broken down and this experience has left me with a lot of concern and empathy for anyone who went through what I did and the many people out there who have endured the worst of it.

There were probably so many specifics that I could have gotten into if I wanted to 'make a case', I can’t tell you the sort of things he said about me or my family, what he nearly made certain people do, because you'd all probably wind up hating my father for it. And I'm not here to stir hate for a man that you guys don't even know, this is all for a greater purpose and message.
Please keep an open mind and remember to treat each other well.
And to any victims...get the help you need.
