Relaxer and color in the same day?

Their has been a great debate about relaxing and color in the same day.
Will it compromise the integrity of the hair?
What color line did I use?
What does the process consist of?
I used @matrix light master with 20 Volume developer, equal parts to pre lighten the hair.
The cuticle was wide open due to the relaxer application so the hair lifted to desired level quickly allowing the hair to still be in a healthy state after the lightening process.
I used a temporary emerald green for the finished color.
Cleaned up her hair cut and gave her a little personality design in the back.
