Horror movies are usually made to bring suspense and gore, and make the hair at the back of our necks stand up. The genre has continued to evolve and new and innovative directors have found creative new ways to bring the scares.

Whether it’s psychological horror, slasher, gore horror, body horror, monster horror, paranormal horror, or comedy horror, the goal of this genre is to scare the wits out of its audiences.

But sometimes, in the quest to find new ways to scare moviegoers, a horror flick can cross the line. Viewers know what they are getting into when they watch a horror movie, but these movies were banned because they were too disturbing even for the horror genre.
