In Part 123 of the Laravel 9 Tutorial to create a Multi-Vendor E-commerce Website in Laravel 9, we will continue working on the Coupons module.

In this video, we will finally add coupon with all details in coupons table and will add validation.

1) Update addEditCoupon function :-
We will update addEditCoupon function to receive coupon data from add coupon form and save into coupons table.

We are required to convert categories and users array data to string with import function.

Also, we are required to generate random coupon code if coupon option is Automatic.

We will set status of coupon to 1 by default.

Finally, we will redirect to coupons page after adding coupon details to coupons table.

2) Add Laravel Validation :-
Now we will add Laravel and HTML 5 validation for the coupon form.

From Laravel 6 onwards, all str_ and array_ helpers have been moved to the new laravel/helpers Composer package and removed from the framework. If desired, you may update all calls to these helpers to use the Illuminate\Support\Str and Illuminate\Support\Arr classes. Alternatively, you can add the new laravel/helpers package to your application to continue using these helpers:

composer require laravel/helpers
