Drummer JS - SESSION SERIE : Bigband project ZMS 2013, song 1.

Hi there!

What??? Is that really you, the original drummer of Epica playing Bigband music? WTF??? My answer = Music = music...period. Bigband music stole my heart in my mid twenties, due to the great arrangements and drumming wise dominant, driving beats and fill ups and fill ins...It,s not easy to play Bigband music, you have to be confident as a drummer. Nobody is 100% confident, but you can strive for it at least...:)

The bigband here were teachers from the musicschool I teach drums at, ZMS and hired people who are known in the world of improvised music.

Some of the teachers: Gino Mehauden (Rob de Nijs band, Bluesette), Franklin Schieman (Blof, session), Frank Peeters (session player), Tiny van de Wijdeven, Chris Krekelberg, Ronald Baljeu, Rene Passenier, Marijke Poppe.

Hired players: Joran Aartsen, Raoul Garcia Vao.
