Explore a Beautiful Globular Cluster -- Space Engine

Beautiful planets and lots of stars. That is what you will see in this video. At the beginning of the video, we approach the Milky Way Galaxy from extreme distance, seeing thousands of other galaxies go by. Then after arriving at the globular cluster, we rotate around it. Afterwards we visit a moon, a planet, and 2 more moons. I have used one globular cluster for most of the video...NGC 6656, but I confess that I used other clusters for some of the planet/moon scenes. Hopefully, nobody will care. The moons and planet are procedural...created by Space Engine. It is estimated that the densest globular clusters have a million or so stars in them. As a bonus, you will see the globular cluster's central black hole. This black hole does not have an accretion disk. Moving around the black hole creates a kaleidoscopic effect. You will see the Einstein Ring effect as an object like the center of the Milky Way Galaxy or a star passes directly behind the black hole. Light travels in a warped path around the black hole. The closer to the black hole that light passes, the more curved its path becomes.

A brief summary of the moons and planet...

#1: An Earth-like moon with an atmosphere and liquid water, including a water-filled crater. This is a double-planet. The planet on the horizon also has liquid water, although it's not obvious.

#2: A dry planet with a thin atmosphere and plant life. The view is from inside a large crater. The planet orbits a double-star.

#3: A barren moon with a thin atmosphere, orbits a cloudy rocky planet, which in turn orbits a double-star.

#4: Another #Earth-like moon with lots of liquid water, orbits a gas giant.

The video is made using the universe simulator Space Engine, version 0.9.7.3. This is not the latest version of Space Engine, but having found these places, I want to share them with you.

Note: I don't know if there is an official definition of "Earth-like". I use it to describe planets or moons that have liquid water. They may or may not have life. Also, there is some controversy about whether there could be life-sustaining planets or moons in a globular cluster. I don't know the answer. This video may or may not be realistic in that respect, depending on your point of view.
