Join us as we visit the USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park in Mobile, Alabama in May of 2019. This is an awesome historical museum for military airplane enthusiasts like myself. This was also my very first time seeing a submarine up close and personal, as I was able to step inside and tour the tight quarters. For anyone who has an assumption of just how cramped spaces really are on a submarine, I would encourage to you to go and make this visit, you'll definitely see it for yourself, how every nook and cranny is accounted for and used for storage or some type of systems. However, for the most, I was able to stand straight up most of the time, and only bent down when walking through bulkheads, hatches and doorways. This is a must see, and if you're really in for a thrill, they also offer helicopter rides from an adjacent pad around the Mobile Bay area. I am including links to the sites visited below.
