'Force of nature': Crews blast Rideau River ice

The City of Ottawa and the Rideau Valley Conservation Authority have begun their annual ice blasting operations on the Rideau River. CTV's Kimberley Johnson reports on the explosives used between Rideau Falls and Billings Bridge to prevent spring flooding for 900 area homes. City area roads manager Bryden Denyes explains the process, while spectators Marie Studer, Devin Miles, and Tim Miles take in the "force of nature."
