EXTREME STREET FOOD in Cebu, Philippines! (Trying Balut for the FIRST TIME!)

This is Balut! One of the Philippines most famous street food snacks! Balut is a fertilized developing egg embryo that is boiled and eaten from the shell. It is commonly sold as street food in South China and Southeast Asian countries, notably the Philippines, Cambodia and Vietnam. We headed to Colon Street in Cebu City to try this Pinoy classic. You can choose between 16 day or 18 day embryo, we went for 16 to start, but even with the 16 day, you could see the birds beak and feathers. This was an experience we'll never forget and one of the most interesting and extreme street foods we have ever tried! 🇵🇭
