Advanced Basketball Dribbling Drills |Behind the Leg, Reverse Windmills & Footwork | XrossOver
Most players don't have a reverse button. This session fixes that. Week 5 Skills
covers reverse windmills, behind the leg cuff and pull, retreat dribbles walking
backwards, bounding jumps, calf bunny hops, alternating reverse windmills, constant
behind the backs with open-close footwork, behind the back side to side on the move,
and log hops. Learn to stop, retreat, and gain space when defenders cut you off.
This is the Week 5 Skills session of Level 1 Phase 2 of the From the Ground Up
20-week basketball training program.
In this session:
— Reverse Windmills (100 each side) — hand goes in front and behind the ball
— Behind the Leg Cuff & Pull Stationary (50 each) — dribble, cuff, pull back
— Behind the Leg Retreat Dribbles (50 reps) — walking backwards, learn to gain space
— Bounding Jumps (50 each leg) — one foot hits again before the other comes down
— Calf Bunny Hops (50 total) — strengthen your Achilles and build a stronger jump
— Alternating Reverse Windmills (50 each) — windmill, pick up, transition to other hand
— Constant Behind the Backs (50 reps) — open-close footwork, 1 dribble down to 0
— Behind the Back Side to Side on the Move (50 reps) — step with outside foot as you go
— Log Hops (50 reps) — push off outside foot, train the footwork that drives your first step
