DREYFUSS TEACHES TUCKER LESSON IN CIVICS

OKAY, UP FRONT LET IT BE KNOWN THAT DREYFUSS'S PERFORMANCE IN "WHAT ABOUT BOB" IS SHEAR GENIUS. Beyond that he appears to be making a difference in a very good way by spreading the lesson of civics. Not civics that are taught, rather civics that are not taught. And so it was likely a simple thing for the film actor many grew up with to email Tucker Carlson at the conclusion of a segment and offer to come onto the show to correct a civic wrong: Carlson's lack of constitutional knowledge, as well as that of his segment guest, as well as that of ... well almost all of us. But more important in the mind of Dreyfuss was the need to get the word out about the need to teach civics in the classroom which he said has not been done since the 1970s. He makes the case for a solid set of core values based on the constitution which would cut through the partisan divide in America.
