After the success of Dinosaur Encounter Pusat Sains Negara, they have expanded their 'territory' to Zoo Melaka. Still in its partial open state (launch 25th December 2020), it claimed to be the largest dinosaur park in South-East Asia to date.

Since Lucas is on a 'Dinosaur Hunt', we figured why not make a 2 hours trip to Melaka since state borders are now opened. The trip was well worth it!

We were amazed by the sheer scale and detail went into crafting the park and the dinosaurs. There were more than 100 species of dinosaurs, not numbers, species! Apart from the famous T-Rex and Triceratops, we were greeted by the Giganotosaurus, Allosaurus, Pachyrhinosaurus and many more unheard/uncommon species.

As usual, the impressive animatronics and sound effects giving us a Jurassic Park vibe.

This time around, Lucas is not afraid of the dinosaurs at all. He even petted the moving Kentrosaurus!

Of course, having it outdoor has its disadvantage, the HOT WEATHER! It was a hot and sunny day the day we visited, so make sure to get yourself some cap and sunscreen before visiting the park.

To date, the Zoo Melaka entrance fee is inclusive of Dinosaur Encounter. We do not know if this will be the same in the future.

So far this is the BEST Dinosaur Park we have "Encountered", we will definitely be back to 'encounter' more dinosaur species when it is fully developed. Do visit and support them at this dire times.
