Nike's Todd Van Horne Says Tinker Hatfield Sends Him Sneakers
http://www.sneakerwatch.com/ - No matter what the athletic department is, if you're in high rankings at Nike, your plug is almost infinite. Take Nike Football Creative Director Todd Van Horne for example, during our visit to Nike's headquarters we spoke to the executive and discussed some of his favorite experiences at Nike, how he gained his start with the company, and what makes the brand so outstanding.
'My favorite aspect is the athletes that we get to talk with, I still get chills when the team takes the field," said Horne. Nike coaches, and executives like Horn are very important pieces in creating new sneakers and equipment for athletes and the brand in general because they work side-by-side with teams to get their opinions on products.
Working close alongside designer Tinker Hatfield, Horne also spoke about his sneaker collection and what it's like being in the company of one of the world's biggest shoe designers. "I'm blessed to have for the last 10 plus years a mentor named Tinker Hatfield, so with that mentorship I kind of get some good insights," said Horne. Respectively so, Horne reveals to us that Hatfield sends him sneakers often, and he's not the type of sneaker guy who doesn't wear his kicks.
To hear about Horne's personal interactions with Tinker Hatfield and more, watch the entire video clip above.
