'The Boxer' was released in March, 1969 as the lead single from Simon and Garfunkel's fifth studio album, 'Bridge over Troubled Water'. It was originally written with a verse that is not included on the 'Bridge over Troubled Water' version, but was sung by Simon and Garfunkel when on tour. I sing that verse here, which begins "Now the years are rolling by me..."
I've modified the chords a little so that the uke can imitate some of Paul Simon's guitar picking parts (the quick F-Am-G-C change at the end of the verses).
