In this trademark phrasing jazz drum lesson, I demonstrate some classic trademark phrases of Elvin Jones, one of the founding fathers of jazz drumming. These ideas can be applied to jazz drum soloing and jazz time playing. They can also be worked over in many different ways, so have fun!
