FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 - Al Janoub Stadium - Construction Timelapse

In anticipation of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 we do daily uploads of our contruction-timelapses from a selection of World Cup Stadiums.
Al Janoub Stadium formerly known as Al-Wakrah Stadium is another impressive example of the works that went on in preparartion of the World Cup 2022.
The design is inspired by the sails of traditional dhow boats, in tribute to Al Wakrah’s seafaring past. An innovative cooling system and retractable roof mean the stadium will be used all year round.
The stadium was designed by AECOM and Zaha Hadid Architects.
During the timelapse recording, which lasted from mid 2017 to mid 2019, we were supported on site by our partner in Qatar, Eclick Multimedia Solutions.
