In Stavanger, you can wander through the cobbled streets of Gamle Stavanger, hike to Pulpit Rock for breathtaking views, and visit the Norwegian Petroleum Museum.

The natural attractions in Southern Norway are equally impressive. Lysefjord, famous for Pulpit Rock and Kjeragbolten, offers spectacular hiking opportunities and scenic boat tours. Setesdal Valley is another notable area, known for its traditional wooden houses, folk music, and outdoor activities like rafting and fishing. The Sørlandet Coast, stretching from Lillesand to Risør, features picturesque towns, sandy beaches, and numerous islands perfect for boating and swimming. Additionally, Jæren Beaches are renowned for their long sandy stretches and excellent surfing opportunities, making them a haven for water sports enthusiasts.

Lindesnes Lighthouse, Norway's oldest lighthouse, situated at the southernmost tip of the mainland, offers a glimpse into maritime history and stunning coastal views.

Outdoor activities are plentiful in this region. There are numerous hiking trails suitable for all levels, from coastal paths to challenging mountain hikes like those to Pulpit Rock and Kjerag. The coastal waters and inland lakes provide excellent fishing opportunities, and boat tours offer unique perspectives of the fjords and coastline. In winter, ski resorts like Hovden are perfect for skiing, snowboarding, and other winter sports.

Gastronomy in Southern Norway is a highlight, with freshly caught seafood, including salmon, mackerel, and shellfish, being staples. Local fish markets and seaside restaurants offer an array of delicious dishes. Traditional cuisine, such as "sodd" (a meat and vegetable stew) and "rakfisk" (fermented fish), along with various baked goods and cheeses, provide a taste of the region’s culinary heritage.
