I Am Legend Ending Explained

The 2007 film I Am Legend sees Will Smith as an Army virologist who is trying to survive in a world that has become overrun with Darkseekers; undead creatures who resemble both vampires and zombies. The film is based on the Richard Matheson novel of the same name, but fans of the book who were expecting the nuanced and intriguing conclusion that it features were probably let down.
