How To Under Cut And Install Flooring Under Jambs (door casing)

When it comes to installing laminate under door jambs, it is necessary to cut them for a custom fit. In this video I will be discussing two different methods for cutting the door jambs. One method is with a flat hand saw which is low on dust and efficient but it gives a more custom fit. The second method is with an electric door jam saw. This method is very efficient for cutting multiple door jambs however it can rock a little sometimes making the fit very nice but not as snug as a hand saw and not consistent unless you have had some practice or experience. It also throws drywall dust from original construction that has been laying under your door jambs since the birth of your home. This can sometimes set off smoke alarms in the house. It comes with a port to vacuum as you cut but it doesn't grab all of the dust. So whether you are doing new construction or a remodel this video will demonstrate two ways to cut door jambs.
