In this video, having set up my "basecamp" at a remote ancient Caledonian forest. I started the day by gathering tinder and firewood for the night. Feeling fully settled, I was ready for some landscape photography. I spent most of the day exploring and scouting the nearby area. It was as wild and natural as it could ever be.

With no paths whatsoever, I had to follow deer trails which was a lot of fun. I photographed some extraordinary trees, birches, scots pines, all full of the Scottish characters that I absolutely love. Towards the end of the day, I made a surprising/pleasant discovery. A patch of untouched pine forest on top of a remote hill packed with fantastic trees, simply stunning. I hope this is another delightful addition to the series "Photographing Scotland's Wilderness".
