Duler Road Disaster: Potholes, Poor Drainage Choke Mapusa’s Lifeline

Residents and daily commuters near Duler Football Ground in Mapusa are grappling with worsening road conditions that have turned routine travel into a frustrating ordeal. The stretch, once a key connector in the area, is now riddled with potholes, uneven surfaces, and crumbling edges, posing risks to motorists and pedestrians alike. Adding to the problem is an undersized and poorly maintained drain (nallah) running alongside the road. With the onset of even moderate rainfall, the drain fails to cope with water flow, leading to frequent waterlogging. Stagnant water not only disrupts traffic but also raises serious sanitation and public health concerns for nearby households.
