Erin O'Toole elected Conservative Party of Canada leader | FULL

The Federal Conservative Party of Canada leadership convention took place on Sunday, into the early hours of Monday morning, where Erin O'Toole was elected as the leader of the Conservative Party of Canada on the third ballot, after a mammoth delay.

This race was the second at bat for O’Toole after he previously ran and lost to Scheer in the 2017 Conservative leadership race, taking third place in that campaign.

The four candidates were: Erin O'Toole, Peter MacKay, Derek Sloan and Leslyn Lewis.

Nearly 270,000 people were eligible to vote for the new leader.
