Shameful And Obvious Attack: GOP Renew Their Assault On Black Female Prosecutor, Kim Gardner

Republicans have renewed their attacks on Saint Louis Circuit Attorney Kimberly Gardner.

The majority of city residents voted to reelect Gardner in the August 4 primary.

Although she won with more than 60 percent of the vote, state Senator Bob Onder believes that Governor Mike Parson should have the right to remove Gardner from office if he wants to and replace her with the prosecutor of his choice.
Onder proposed a bill that gets rid of the residency requirement for Saint Louis police officers and lowers the age for adult certification for armed criminal action to 14 years old. If Gardner cannot execute her job well, Governor Parson said he plans to unleash Republican Attorney General Eric Schmitt on criminal cases in the city. He gives Schmitt permission to prosecute cases if 90 or more days have passed.
