Skyrim - how to buy the house in Riften (Honeyside)

Honeyside is a moderate-sized house located in the city of Riften and any citizen who desires to become Thane of the Rift must purchase property within its realm.

This house, the second-least expensive home that can be obtained, becomes available for purchase during a quest for the Jarl of Riften and this guide will show you exactly how to obtain it.

This video will show you how to get a house in Riften and you can also become Thane of Riften while at it!

After completing the guide, if you are not announced as Thane of Riften then it's because you haven't yet completed enough quests for the citizens within Riften.

Help the people within Riften and eventually you will receive a notification at the top of your screen. This notification will prompt you to visit the Jarl once again.

Talk to the Jarl and she will allow you to become Thane of Riften in exchange of buying a house within Riften. Buy the house and any furnishings you desire. Don't forget to talk to the Jarl again after purchasing the house to become Thane of Riften.
