Sauces Channel Islands Eagles ~ A-40 Delivers Live Kit Fox; Taken Off Nest w/ SLO MO 6.6.18

A-40 flies in to the nest with a live kit fox again and HP mantles it & thinks it will be her meal but Corsair flies in and Dad takes off with it. Corsair follows. Then a few seconds later, Saucy arrives to the nest right before Dad returns with it and both Saucy and HP mantle it. Saucy looks like she might have it - then Corsair flies in and both Saucy and Dad take off again and Corsair too. It was difficult to see even with slo mo - I could not see anything in Dad's talons or Corsair's beak. Saucy had one leg down and the other I could not see - it is likely that she got it and we just could not see from the angle of the cam. Slo mo of the action starts at 1:58. Thank you for watching!

A-40 is the male eagle hatched 2005 and A-48 the female hatched in 2006. Three eaglets hatched this season: Corsair 51/A Male, HP 08/A female & 19/A female.
