RV Black Tank Cleaning, Maintenance, Tips & Tricks - Everything You Need to Know!

We'll show you the components of a black tank system, and how to properly use, clean, maintain, clear clogs, & flush your travel trailer or 5th wheel black waste tanks. We call this the Black Tank Masterclass because we cover so many issues that we have seen others have.

Here are the key points to the cleaning & maintaining process:
-Keep water (along with your choice of treatment) in your black tank. Around 10% of your black tank capacity should be filled with water, always.
-Be generous with the water you use to flush & try to use the least amount as you comfortably can.
-Wait until your black tank is about 2/3 to 3/4 full to dump. The fuller the tank, the more diluted it is AND the better the flush you will get.
-After dumping the black tank, back fill the tank, to about 10-20% capacity, and dump again. This is important.
-Repeat from the top.
