Mansun at Glastonbury 29th June 1997!

In the muddiest festival year to date, the band were due to play their set on the ‘Other Stage’.

Unfortunately the set was cut short to just one song, ’Stripper Vicar’, owing to a failing generator caked in mud and a precarious sinking stage after torrential rain flooded the site.

Disappointing for the band as this was to be their first outing at the festival but, fortunately, the following year would prove to be Mansun’s time with a coveted place on the Main Stage and a storming full set.
