macOS Sequoia | How to Delete Undeletable Files from Trash Bin

When you manually delete Time Machine Backups, these files cannot be deleted by emptying the trash. Use the terminal to delete these files.

Any folder containing a space, must be kept within "quotes."

1. Open Terminal
2. Type in cd /Volumes/"Name of Your Drive"/.Trashes/ ...to navigate to your drives trashes folder.
3. Type in sudo ls 501/ ...to check folders listing.
4. Type in sudo rm -rf 501/Backups.backupdb/ ....or whatever your Backups.backupdb folder name, remember to put the folder name in quotes if there's a space in the folder name.
