“Ultimate Robot Knockout Legend”: Humanoid Robots Fighting in a Ring (2026 Season)

This video shows humanoid robots training martial arts and working in a ring — and yes, it’s tied to a real competition concept.

China has launched what’s being billed as the “world’s first” humanoid robot combat league, called Ultimate Robot Knockout Legend (UKRL / URKL), organized around EngineAI’s T800 platform. Teams reportedly receive T800 humanoid robots for free so they can modify, tune, and improve them for competition.

The prize is hilariously on-brand for 2026: the winning team gets a gold championship belt valued at about $1.44M (10 million yuan).
And the 2026 season is described as a tiered competition format running through December.

If you’re old enough to remember Real Steel, this is basically that — except for now the “fighters” are mostly the same baseline robot, and humans are training the playbook. Not for long, probably.

The fun (and slightly cursed) part: imagine what kinds of “machines” reach the finals after months of hands-on tuning. Today it’s a controlled sports league. Tomorrow it’s… let’s not finish that sentence.
