Ricky Martin - Vuelo

This is part of a survey of Pop Music performed in Venezuela in the 1990's. The performance was in Caracas. Ricky Martin was already very famous in the Spanish Speaking world by that time because of his prior experience as a member of Menudo together with his personality and his significant singing and acting talents. I believe this performance in Caracas was before his very successful performance at Viña del Mar attracted the attention of the producers of the North American Soap Opera "General Hospital", which landed him a role in that production. After that, he secured a role as Marius in the Broadway play "Le Miserables". It seems likely that the increased proficiency he gained in English because of these experiences, together with his formidable singing and acting talents, made possible his tremendous crossover hit "Liv'n La Vida Loca", at which point he became wildly famous in the English Speaking world.
