Ninja Turtles 2 Secret of the Ooze - Fast Food Toys and Tie-Ins

Lets go back to 1991 and explore the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 The Secret of the Ooze and its Fast Food tie-in campaigns at Pizza Hut and Burger King in this nostalgic retrospective!

The fast food chains for the most part ignored the previous movie TMNT 1990, and sadly they did it again for TMNT 2 Secret of the Ooze despite the movie being very family friendly and not controversial like the first one. There were no fast food toys based on the movie. Burger King once again sold VHS tapes of the Ninja Turtles 1987 animated show. And Pizza Hut had tie-ins with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Coming Out of their Shells tour. They sold the cassette tape and gave out free posters and tour books. I wish we had gotten fast food toys and action figures at a restaurant like McDonalds with Happy Meal Toys featuring action figures of Michelangelo, Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, Super Shredder, regular Shredder, Tatsu, Keno, Tokka and Rahzar, Splinter, April O'Neil, Casey Jones and Foot Ninjas.

Secret of the Ooze was a huge success despite not being as good as the first one. Its a fun movie despite its flaws. The Toys and figures, video games and the tie-in campaigns and promos and everything surrounding the movie was fun. I hope you all enjoy this nostalgia heavy retrospective video essay.
