How to replace the comfort grip on your Dyson Gen5 cordless vacuum.

Your machine may differ from the example shown but the process demonstrated remains the same.

The comfort grip has been engineered and tested to last the lifetime of your machine in normal domestic use. However if you ever need to replace the comfort grip - for example, due to accidental damage - this is quick and easy to do, simply follow the steps in our video guide.

Step 1. Remove the wand from your machine by pressing the grey release button.
Step 2. Remove the filter unit from the back of your machine.
Step 3. Locate and using a small Phillips screwdriver remove the screws securing the existing comfort grip.
Step 4. Slide the comfort grip off the runners on your machine.
Step 5. Slide the new comfort grip onto the runners on your machine.
Step 6. Secure in place by fitting and fully tightening the Phillips screws provided.
Step 7. Refit the filter unit onto the back of your machine.

Always ensure you disconnect your machine from the charger cord before carrying out any maintenance.
