Originally from Greece, Captain Michael hails from a family with deep roots in maritime history. His grandfather and father were also Captains, making him a third generation Captain. Reaching the rank at a young age, Captain Michael decided to take a different path from his family and pursue a career as a Captain onboard a Celebrity Cruises ship, and has not looked back since. He considers it an honor to guide the Celebrity Eclipse to new South American destinations for the first time, sailing all around South America and up the west coast of the US.
