Arolla - Zermatt, Ski Touring Switzerland

Deux jours de ski de randonnée extraordinaires organisés par le GAG, Section Carougeoise du Club Alpin Suisse.

Nous quittons le petit village d'Arolla de bon matin afin de rejoindre la cabane Bertol perchée sur son promontoire rocheux (3311m). Après une bonne nuit de sommeil, nous continuons notre ascension par le glacier de Mont Miné jusqu'à Tête Blanche (3710m) ainsi que Tête de Valpelline (3798m) au pied du majestueux Cervin. Un 360 sur les Alpes Suisses et Italiennes à couper le souffle ! Il nous reste "plus qu'à" dévaler dans la poudre entre les crevasses et séracs du Zmuttgletscher pour rejoindre Zermatt.

Two amazing ski touring days organized by the GAG - Carouge section of the Swiss Alpine Club.

We left the tiny village of Arolla in the early morning and started our ascent to the cabane Bertol, perched on its promontory rock (3311m). After a good night sleep, we continued our ascent through the Mont Miné glacier to the Tête Blanche (3710m) and then Tête Valpelline (3798m) at the foot of the majestic Matterhorn. There we had a breathtaking 360 view over the Swiss and Italian Alps ! We then made our way down riding between imposing crevasses and seracs of the Zmuttgletscher to eventually reach Zermatt.
