Mitsubishi Pajero Shogun 4M40 4D56 Turbo Diesel Intake Manifold Over-Boost Valve replace plug block-off. If you're losing turbo pressure on boost and your hoses and waste-gate check-out, then this is the likely suspect. Hidden at the tail end of the intake manifold. I've calibrated my waste-gate and installed a boost controller, so there is no need for a third party. As you will see in the video, the valve broke off instead of loosening. This became a blessing in disguise, as a cheap 11mm 1/2" drive socket fits the inside hole beautifully...right down to the curvature of the socket. Be sure to clean the entire inside and outside area with a good grease remover. Be sure to liberally apply epoxy to the contact surface of the socket, using Steel Epoxy or some other HIGH TEMP equivalent. Once pressed inside, also surround the outside area with epoxy. This repair turned out to be a better solution than hunting down a plug with matching diameter and thread pitch.
