How to Dye Japanese Tie-Dye Shibori

In this video I'm dyeing Japanese tie dye, shibori (絞り) with plant dye. I'm dyeing furoshiki (風呂敷) for my kimono storage with turmeric. Turmeric is said to have a moth repellent effect and that it's why it was a very popular plant dye for furoshiki in the past. Today the yellow color is still iconic for furoshiki. To make it a little more interesting I also tried 2 different shibori methods.

Thank you so much for watching!!
