@NandovMovies made me think… #music #netflix

If you’re familiar with Spotify, you might know this. But it made me think about what I’m going to do for the next single… WINK WINK NUDGE NUDGE.

Transcript: I just watched a video by Nando vs Movies and basically it's this guy, Canadian guy, talking about kind of like the rubbish movies on Netflix you get. I can think of one like 365 days. I'm getting ahead of myself. So this guy, I hope his name is Nando, but this guy basically talks about how a lot of Netflix movies are made to be what you call the second screen movies ie. Oh, that's not my concealer They're basically made to be like you're on your phone and I'm terrible for doing this. You're on your phone and you're scrolling through Twitter, but there's a Netflix movie in the background and that's what the movie is supposed to be. And that is actually what executives are asking their creators to make a movie like a second screen movie. So you notice how some, again, some of these movies are not good, but they're actually sort of forcing creatives to fit into a certain box to be applicable for Netflix or for insert streaming service. And yeah, and that's why we get the quality of movies that we're getting right now. What was interesting to me was the fact that there was something similar said a couple of years ago about Spotify and how a lot of playlists on Spotify, are sort of background noise or background fodder, it's very rare that you get a song that is playlisted well, that are on these playlists, you know, like they, they tend to be either like background noise and like library music and work, like, you know, music you work to, music you sleep to, music you get ready to, like I was literally about to put that on before I had this idea. And I was thinking, because I remember this article so well, because it made me think about my music.
