Peak District | Visiting the 'Over-Exposed' Plane Crash Site

Part 2 of our trip to The Peak District! In this video we are visiting one of the most famous plane crash sites in the Peak District the RB29 Superfortress crash site, also known as 'Over-Exposed' Crash site, and we also visit the famous town of Matlock.

The Overexposed plane crash site can be slightly difficult to get to as toward the end you have to veer off the main footpath to find it, I would recommend you take a compass to help you navigate as the signal for google maps can be hit and miss. You can park on snake road and its around a 30 minute walk to find the crash site, once you arrive you will instantly notice the site, debris is littered across the ground and there is so much remaining, it is a very surreal place to be.

Matlock is a great looking town with many nice parks and pretty surrounding walks. It is also home to the famous Heights of Abraham, here you can get a cable car to the top of the mountain and get epic views over the entire Peak District. I would also recommend a visit to Buxton if you enjoy Matlock.

All my suggestions from the video:
- Visit the RB29 Superfortress 'Overexposed' Crash Site
- Drive on the awesome 'Snake Pass' one of the fun roads to drive on in the Peak District
- Visit Matlock and go to the Heights of Abraham
- Visit the town of Buxton
