FLORIDAS RAREST BACKYARD BIRD

Florida’s got a bird that’s found nowhere else on Earth… so obviously we went looking for it on a cold, windy, raining day in Brevard County and got absolutely soaked.

In this episode of Everyday Wild with Joey Manna, I’m chasing the Florida Scrub-Jay through Florida scrub habitat—learning what makes this species so unique, why it’s Threatened, and why this scrub ecosystem has to stay in that “just right” condition for these birds to survive. Then we end with the photo reveal—the shots I risked wet socks and questionable decisions to capture.
